Features:
An elaborate 1920s Chantilly Lace dress with matching jacket. Both pieces were carefully constructed to create a symmetrical pattern with the placement of the lace fabric. The lace is a classic floral bouquet pattern with an elaborate, scalloped border. The dress has a classic drop waist fit with a gathered, handkerchief hem skirt. The skirt is slightly longer in the back, a style that was popular in the late 1920's. The lace jacket has an open front with flared sleeves. The dress has a net under dress that is attaches at the shoulders and hip. While it doesn't make the dress less sheer, it does help hold the intended shape on the body and help prevent wear to the lace. The dress has no closures and pulls on over the head.
Condition: It's very rare to find antique chantilly Lace in strong, wearable condition but this set is exceptionally well preserved. I found no major flaws on either piece and the lace is strong and wearable. The only flaws I can find are a few tiny breaks in the lace under one arm of the dress and the skirt of the attached slip has some holes and has been opened at the side seams. I debated about removing the skirt part of the slip entirely, because it's not a necessary part of the dress but I will leave that decision to the next owner. This dress was well stored and has no odors to note.
Measurements: The lace does have some stretch to it though it may be best not to stretch it very much.

I accept US returns within 14 days of delivery. Please contact me here before shipping a return. Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. A refund will be initiated within 3 business days of your return being received and inspected.
