Antique Chinese Hand Embroidered Silk Jacket
Date: 1920's - 1940's. The style of this jacket is the same as the jackets popular during the 1920's but the glossy embroidery floss makes me wonder if it's from the 1930's or 1940's? The lining is hand-stitched in the shoulders and hem which is consistent with the older jackets. The floral embroidery patterns are the same as the 1920's jackets as well, so I may be over thinking this.
Size estimate: Small, shown on a size 4-6 model
Color: Black with a rainbow of embroidery
Fabric: Satin silk fabric with glossy silk embroidery. Lined with silk.

Features: The exterior of this jacket is completely covered in colorful hand embroidered flowers and birds. I've never seen one of these jackets with embroidered Peacocks before! It has one large button closure at the front with an internal tie at the side of the waist that looks like it was added by it's original owner. It is fully lined with black silk fabric.
Condition: In excellent vintage condition. The fabric is strong and unfaded with no stains or holes. The lining is flawless. It was well stored with no odors and is ready to wear.
